Female Fitness: Myths about women in the fitness industry

In the gym, we find a distinction between the loads for men and women’s fitness
In almost any sports hall, you can see a clear distinction between simulators: for cardio exercises and intense exercise. Such a difference between simulators for men and women is caused by a huge number of myths and legends, both in weightlifting and in the fitness industry for the whole.
Such a difference between simulators for men and women is caused by a huge number of myths and legends, both in weightlifting and in the fitness industry for the whole.
Any woman who does weightlifting will agree that training for men is much easier. The main reason is that modern fashion and the media dictate to the woman. From these sources, women receive the following false information:
This tea will help to correct the shape;
You can not eat carbohydrates in the evening;
You must follow a diet;
You need to eat 6 times a day in small portions, etc.
Because of all these false advice, women have a different idea about fitness, which is fundamentally wrong.
Despite the fact that in recent times most women have abandoned the usual female fitness and are taking weights in their hands, it is still not possible to eradicate the myths about fitness for women.
Myth number 1: The female body becomes pumped and similar to the male
If a person hears the phrase “weightlifting,” steroids and pumped bodies immediately come to mind. But weightlifting and bodybuilding have little in common. If a woman does not use a huge amount of anabolic drugs, and her sports activities will be built correctly, the muscles will become stronger, but in general the body will not change much.
Myth number 2: Sports for men and women should be different
Virtually any muscle group: biceps, triceps, deltas and others, work in men the same way as women. Therefore, the exercises should be the same for representatives of any gender.
Differences in training methods are only for different sports. For example, gymnasts, runners and powerlifters emphasize various muscle groups during training for obvious reasons.
Muscles grow in the same way both in a man’s body and in a woman’s body. The growth rate, of course, depends on the hormonal levels, but the reason for the growth is the same – training.
Myth number 3: Intensive cardio loads contribute to rapid weight loss.
Such loads contribute to the burning of calories, but weight lifting is much more effective. Various television shows inspire people to exercise at cardiovascular machines, with the result that they treat heavy loads with disdain. Of course, cardio cannot be completely ruled out, since these exercises train the heart muscle well. But regular exercises only on cardio-trainers contribute not only to burning fat, but also to drying the muscles.
Myth number 4: It is necessary to eat only “light” foods
Many women under the influence of aggressive advertising abandon most of the food, sit on a hard diet, use special diet pills. The creators of special nutritional supplements are actually more interested in your bank account, and not your excess weight. Refusal from products that are actually necessary for the normal functioning of the body, can lead to serious health problems.
Myth number 5: It is forbidden to eat food containing carbohydrates in the evening
Indeed, the metabolism slows down at night, but this happens only in the first half of the night’s rest. Further, this process is significantly accelerated and in the end all the nutrients will benefit. A physical exercise, which was performed during the day, contribute to an increase in the intensity of metabolism at night.
Myth number 6: Fatty foods contribute to the formation of fat in the body.
According to well-known information, 1 g of fat contains as many as 9 calories. Therefore, fatty food has become so unpopular among those who are trying to lose weight. But the complete rejection of fatty foods can adversely affect the functioning of the hormonal system. Daily consumption of fat in moderation is mandatory.
